We partnered with American Express to bring fans “Outside the Court” hosting an All-Star Weekend Takeover, where Amex invited card members and prospects alike to the ultimate basketball city - fueled by the power of small business.
Adjacent to the fan fest, we built a miniature basketball town square featuring a number of storefronts - each featuring a small business (popcorn and churros!), merch, customisation, photo moments and a not-so-secret entrance to our card member speakeasy feature Utah’s own Dirty Sodas. The square and speakeasy hosted All Star and celebrity appearances and chalk talks allowing visitors experience another side to the game they love.
We built a not -so-secret speakeasy with an entrance through the dressing room of a tailor shop where card members could indulge in
‘Dirty Sodas’
We kept the festivities going by hosting a block party to watch the All Star game featuring more small businesses (Coffee + Ice cream!), games and a series of custom designed ice sculptures and wild postings.
